Penny Lane has been painting the suspicious pastries again. This time, it’s a croissant with a very particular expression and, I suspect, rather more butter than it cares to admit.
One of the characters from my Penny Lane stories, this grumpy little fellow has perfected the art of looking entirely innocent. The beret, the grand old frame and the label beneath him lend him a certain French bakery dignity, though I’m not entirely convinced he deserves it.
An original, humorous pastry illustration for anyone who appreciates a little French charm, a touch of absurdity and characters with something to hide.
Printed on 300 gsm Old Dutch paper, with its warm-white tone and lovely tactile texture.
