I have a soft spot for characters who look as though they have a little secret, and Polly P. is certainly one of them. In her blue party hat, clutching a ribbon-tied letter for someone special, she seems to be on her way to a very important occasion. Perhaps it’s a birthday, a celebration, or a letter she has been waiting a long time to deliver. I’ll leave that part of the story to you.
I wanted Polly to feel a little unruly and a little grand at the same time — all scruffy fur, golden eyes and whiskers going in every direction.
This original illustrated cat art print is part of my Tales of Penny Lane collection, printed on 300 gsm Old Dutch paper with a warm-white tone and lovely tactile texture.
