Polly P. Cat is a character from The Cat Stealer, one of the stories in Penny Lane's world. A rather scruffy black cat with big, watchful eyes and a peach-coloured scarf, she's not quite as innocent as she might look.
I've given her a little French-inspired setting, with faded blue stripes, a sage-green oval and a lace border. Something about the combination reminds me of old wallpaper and the slightly eccentric interiors you find in old French houses.
The print is made on 300 gsm Old Dutch paper, a lovely warm white with a beautiful, tactile texture.
